Mr. Dhayanithi K, Assistant Professor, Department of Occupational Therapy, YFAHP, was awarded the First Prize for Paper Presentation at ETHOS 7.0 - an International Bioethics, Medical & Research Conference, affiliated with UNESCO. The award was received for the paper titled "Ethical Considerations in Aquatic Therapy Research for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder: Balancing Beneficence, Safety, and Justice."
The conference was held virtually from 19-21 December 2025 with participation from over 1,000 international delegates.
Out of 80+ research papers submitted globally, only seven were shortlisted, and the paper secured the First Prize overall. Notably, he was the only participant from India and the only Occupational Therapist among the shortlisted presenters. This achievement highlights the institution's commitment to research excellence and the growing global relevance of Occupational Therapy.
Mr. Anas, Assistant Professor, Department of Occupational Therapy, YFAHP, received the Second Prize for Scientific Paper Presentation at the International Conference SRFOTCON25, organized by the Faculty of Occupational Therapy, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
The paper was recognized for its scientific rigor and contribution to evidence-informed occupational therapy practice. The award-winning study, titled "Impact of Mental Well-being Compared with Physical Activity and Screen Time on Health-Related Quality of Life in Indian Adolescents," provides important insights into psychosocial and lifestyle influences on adolescent health.
