Teacher's Day 2025 celebrations with Awards for Teachers, Academic Excellence and Competitions.

Yenepoya Centre for Faculty Development (YEN-FDC), a constituent centre of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Deralakatte observed "Teacher's Day 2025" on 11 th September 2025 to felicitate the teachers from all the constituent units with the "Teacher of the Year Award 2025" , Department with Academic Excellence and Various Competition awards.

Around 400 teachers from all the constituent units of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) participated in the program. The Event began with the Invocation. Dr. K.S. Gangadhara Somayaji, Registrar, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) delivered the welcome address and emphasized the role of centre in furthering universities vision and mission. Dr. Dilip. G. Naik, Pro Vice Chancellor, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) was the chief guest for the programme and congratulated the centre such a mammoth task and stringent guidelines in place for the awards also appreciated the efforts of university in organizing program like these.

Dr.Abhay Nirgude, Deputy Director explained the process of Teacher of the year Awards and department with academic excellence awards. And these were given based on the stakeholder's feedback. i.e. students, Faculty, alumni, supervisors and heads of the constituent units.

Four Academic Leaders Award and One Special award for excellence in teaching and Twenty nine teachers from all constituent units of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) were honored with "Teacher of the year award 2025". Fifteen departments from all the constituent units of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) were awarded with "Academic Excellence Awards 2025".

Dr M Vijayakumar, Vice chancellor, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) in his presidential address mentioned the need for such initiatives to encourage the faculty and also mentioned the universities effort to improve the facilities and training at Yenepoya (Deemed to be University)

Dr. Abhay S Nirgude, Deputy Director, YEN-FDC, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) & Dean, Faculty of Medicine, YMC delivered the Vote of Thanks. The Master of the ceremony for the program were Dr. Aishwarya. Dr Shilpa K. Dr Meera Jacob, Dr. Kahakasha, Dr. Sridevi K, Dr Vinay, Dr Vinita, Ms.Shruthi, Dr. Imran Pasha M, Convener Yen-FDC were part of the organizing team members of the Teacher's Day Celebration. The program ended with the National Anthem.
